Portents of 2015
I feel like I got a lot of bs out of the way during 2014. I accomplished a lot this year – I made many strides emotionally and mentally – and I learned a lot of things about who I am and how I am. I feel like 2015 will be a far better year than 2014.
So, it’s time to make a rough sketch for the mural I will paint as I wander through 2015.
1) Keep chipping away at that fear and anxiety. Reduce incidents of overwhelm, become better at recognizing upset as soon as it surfaces.
2) Play more. I’m not great at being playful in an everyday context – I am too practical sometimes. I want to work on this.
3) Learn the ability to be present and mindful by default.
4) Another EU trip. Either Scandinavia, France, or Ireland. May take two small-ish trips, or one long trip. I don’t know exactly what I’ll do, but I do know I will enjoy myself.
5) Costumes. Make and wear. First idea: Victorian.
6) Continue to branch out socially.
7) Work on performance skills: memorize songs; become capable of playing correct chords from memory while singing and then retaining that memorization for more than one day.
8) Reorganize, get rid of useless stuff, get new couches, build more shelves in my house.
9) Get junk hauled from back yard, fix fences, fix garage roof.
10) Plant front yarden.
11) Take care of elm tree.
12) Be. Just be.
